THE BIG IDEA

For almost 6 years, Grover has been giving people flexible access to the tech they need for a monthly price. And we keep on growing, with over 1 million registered customers across 4 countries – and counting. As more and more people discover Grover, we want to help them see the value of renting tech rather than buying it.

A house, a car, a boat… people are proud to own things. But not so much about renting them. We wanted to challenge that mindset – at least when it comes to renting tech. Because renting the tech you want whenever you need it lets you follow your dreams, achieve your goals and live the life you want to live. And you can focus on owning other things, like your passions and experiences.

That’s where the campaign idea was born: Proud Renters.

WITH ‘PROUD RENTERS’, WE WANTED TO BLOW AWAY THE DUSTY MISCONCEPTIONS MANY PEOPLE HAVE AROUND THE IDEA OF RENTING. WHEN YOU RENT TECH WITH GROVER, YOU CAN TRULY FEEL PROUD THAT YOU’RE DOING SOMETHING GOOD FOR YOUR LIFESTYLE, YOUR WALLET AND THE PLANET.

MAKING IT HAPPEN

To bring ‘Proud Renters’ to life, we worked with The Goodwins, a Berlin-based creative agency using their talents for good – only working with brands that have sustainability at their core. They’re the team behind our recent rebrand, working with us for nearly a year to develop the perfect vehicle for Grover’s message. This campaign is the culmination of all that hard work. 

And as Grover’s mission is for more people to access the tech they want – getting more from tomorrow now – it was important to share our message across all channels.
